San Marcos, CA - The "Scientists of Lighting," Baja Designs, has created two new aftermarket products specifically for the new 2018 Jeep JL model: Fog Pocket Lights and an A-Pillar Mount Kit.
Using Baja Designs' performance-proven technology, the Fog Pocket Lights are designed to appeal to Jeep JL drivers who want to retain the vehicle's stock appearance but with upgraded fog lighting. When conditions on the road or trail make it hard to see the landscape, the Fog Pocket lights, when placed in the same low mounting location as the factory fog lamps, provide a brighter light for enhanced visibility. Amber lighting and Wide Cornering patterns are also available, and both options help cut through dust and fog to allow better sight for drivers. The company's Sport Fog Pocket lights are more street-friendly, while Pro Fog Pocket lights are suggested strictly for off-road use.
Baja Designs has also developed an A-Pillar Mount Kit for the 2018 Jeep JL which can be used in conjunction with lights such as the company's S2 and Squadron products. Spot pattern, cornering and ditch lighting are the three most popular uses for lights mounted using A-Pillar brackets. Increased distance penetration and visibility over rocks, shrubs and other obstacles is best achieved with spot lighting. Cornering light is optimum for terrain where higher speed is used as it reduces tunnel vision, and the mount can be adjusted outwardly by hand to provide a wider lighting span. Ditch lighting is best used when drivers need additional light down low and close to the vehicle to best see rough, technical terrain. Baja's A-Pillar Mount Kit can be adjusted downwardly by hand to aid in ditch lighting situations.
"At Baja Designs, we create premium products designed to last; that's why we back our products with a lifetime warranty on every light," said marketing manager at Baja Designs, Chris Fortunato. "Our American-made lights are designed to outlast and outperform the competition. We started offering lights for Jeep owners by producing lights for the JK models, so the JL options were a natural progression for us."
With the company's long history of off-road racing, Baja Designs' ability to stand up to rigorous use is trusted by off-roaders and Jeepers alike. Baja Designs was created by Alan Roach, a former off-road racer who saw the need for high-quality, rugged lighting which could withstand the elements and tough terrain. In the years since the company was founded, Baja Designs has become the premium aftermarket lighting brand due to their patented services and guarantees.
All Baja Designs lenses are serviceable through the company's proprietary uService feature, and lighting patterns are adjustable to suit the needs of the driver through the company's ClearView guarantee. MoistureBlock(tm) guarantees that all Baja brand lights are waterproof, rain proof and submersible; CopperDrive assures that the company's LED lights are driven at 100 percent; 5000K Daylight ensures less driver fatigue by using natural color.
