Pro Comp’s new performance suspension system for 07-present Toyota Tundras improves ride quality both on- and off-road, while providing 4 inches of lift to fit 35-inch tall tires. There are no compromises in pavement handling with this kit, as it has passed FMVSS 126 testing, certifying that all Electronic Stability Control systems continue to function properly after the suspension modifications. “Pro Comp is very excited to gain FMVSS approval on this kit, as we are the first manufacturer of performance suspension to do so. We’re constantly striving for innovation, and will continue to raise the industry standards in the name of performance and safety,” says Pro Comp Marketing Manager, Chloe Eady.
The foundation for the suspension is extended cast upper and lower control arms that retain the factory-style ball joint. These longer arms work in conjunction with 2.75-inch internal bypass coilover shocks with external reservoirs that increase wheel travel to 14 inches of usable front travel. New axles and tie rod ends are included to accommodate the 4-inch wider track width this kit provides, while the factory knuckles and sway bar are retained for remarkable handling in any terrain.
In order to keep up with the race-quality front suspension, a rear mini-leaf pack and extended shackle replace the factory overload spring and stock shackle to raise the ride height by 2.25-inches while increasing wheel travel to 12 inches. Larger shocks equipped with internal bypass tubes and external reservoirs keep the rear suspension under control regardless of the situation. Brake line drop brackets are included to make the most out of the added travel and 2-inch wheel spacers match the rear track width increase to the new front suspension.
If a 55% increase in wheel travel is not enough for you, upper control arms fitted with uniballs are an option to provide even more travel. Front and rear hydraulic bump stops are also an option for even more suspension damping when you are pushing your Tundra to the limits. When you are ready to take your Tundra to the next level of off-road performance, upgrade to Pro Comp’s long travel suspension system.
In addition to being FMVSS 126 compliant, the new long-travel performance suspension is covered by the Pro Comp Promise Lifetime Warranty – 100% transferable, no questions asked! This suspension system also qualifies for the Pro Comp Lift Shield 5 year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty at no additional cost when installed by a Pro Comp Authorized Installer.
