Brake Fluid Enhancer Improves Vehicle Safety by Fighting Corrosion

Phoenix Systems releases BrakeShot to revitalize and enhance brake fluid to a higher level of quality and safety.
St. George, UT - August 20, 2014 - Phoenix Systems introduces BrakeShot, the new brake fluid enhancer designed to fight corrosion that is caused by the harmful effects of copper. This liquid brake fluid enhancer instantly combats copper corrosion by restoring and strengthening old brake fluid. BrakeShot helps protect the vehicle's brake system by transforming average brake fluid into a high-tech, high-grade brake fluid, thus prolonging the life of your vehicle's brake fluid and entire brake system. BrakeShot uses DOT guidelines and is specifically formulated to slow down copper corrosion in the braking system. BrakeShot prevents sticking calipers, ailing master cylinders, and other ABS braking troubles that are brought on by corrosion and high copper levels. This extra layer of protection ensures your safety and gives your vehicle an immunity-boost against copper corrosion.
Phoenix Systems is the industry authority on brake fluid testing and brake safety with multiple patents on their innovative products. In 2000, BrakeStrip, a 60-second brake fluid test, was introduced and currently dealerships use this test to evaluate the copper corrosion levels in the brake fluid. Consumers can easily have this test completed to determine if their system is contaminated and in need of BrakeShot or a complete system flush.
With multiple patents pending, a one-ounce shot of BrakeShot treats up to 1 liter of brake fluid, which is the average capacity of a vehicle’s braking system. Cheaper and quicker than a brake flush, BrakeShot is universal and works on all foreign and domestic vehicles. BrakeShot was released on August 1, 2014. Sway-A-Way Introduces Baja Blood™ Shock Oil

Shock absorber performance is greatly influenced by the temperature, viscosity and stability of its hydraulic fluid. Accordingly, the suspension experts at Sway-A-Way have developed Baja Blood™—a synthetic shock oil that has improved lubricity and less friction than conventional lubricants to optimize performance and durability. Baja Blood™ is formulated to withstand the most severe off-road racing environments. It has excellent thermodynamic qualities and runs cooler than conventional oils of a similar viscosity. Another important benefit of this true synthetic is resistance to foaming, a common problem of conventional oils. It also helps prolong seal life. Proven in competition, Baja Blood™ has demonstrated a superior service life (less fade) in comparison to conventional shock oils. It is employed in all of Sway-A-Way’s racing shocks, and can be used to give a “performance transfusion” to most any brand shock absorber. Rated at “7 weight” viscosity for optimum all-around use, Baja Blood™ is available in quart bottles, gallon jugs and 5-gallon buckets. For additional details go to www.swayaway.com or call 818-700-9712. Sway-A-Way has been a leader in off-road suspension technology since 1967 and headquartered in Chatsworth, California.

BrakeShot™ by Phoenix Systems - First New Additive To Fight Corrosion

St. George, UT: Phoenix Systems has announced BrakeShot™, the first new brake fluid additive designed to fight corrosion induced by the harmful effects of copper. DOT approved and specifically formulated to retard copper corrosion in the braking system, BrakeShot prevents sticking calipers, ailing master cylinders, and other ABS braking troubles brought about by corrosion and high copper levels in the brake system. To ascertain if BrakeShot can cure a contaminated system, use BrakeStrip to determine the copper parts per million (ppm) in the brake fluid. BrakeStrip is a 60-second brake fluid test that turns shades of purple according to the level of copper in the braking system. If the strip indicates a copper level of between 50-175ppm, simply add the contents of a one-ounce bottle of BrakeShot to the master cylinder. After 50-100 miles of driving, BrakeShot will re-energize the corrosion inhibitors to protect all the metals in the entire brake system and prevent further corrosion. If, however, the test strip indicates 200ppm or greater, the brake system requires flushing and the fluid replaced. With multiple patents pending a one-ounce shot of BrakeShot treats up to 1 liter of brake fluid, which is the average capacity of a vehicle's braking system. Cheaper and quicker than a brake flush, BrakeShot is universal and works on all foreign and domestic vehicles. Packaged in a case of 12, each bottle retails for $15-$20. BrakeShot is expected to be released in April 2014. For further information and where to purchase contact Phoenix Systems LLC at 4012 S River Rd #4B, St. George, UT 84790, (866)760-5842.

Brakes Plus Commits to Environmental Sustainability With Eco Ultra Motor Oil

Each Oil Change Reduces America's Dependency on Imported Foreign Crude Oil
WICHITA, KS--(Aug 27, 2014) - Brakes Plus®, which services nearly 40,000 customer vehicles per month, is now exclusively offering Eco Ultra® -- a proprietary line of sustainable motor oils from Universal Lubricants® -- at all 67 of its brake repair and automotive maintenance facilities across the country. "Our customers, both longtime and new, trust the decisions we make when it comes to the products we offer within our honest and dependable brake repair and automotive maintenance facilities," said John Koskovich, Brakes Plus' director of products, pricing and purchasing. "We are proud to put our 'stamp of approval' on Eco Ultra motor oil because this eco-friendly product fits with our company goal of protecting the environment, while providing quality products and world class customer service at a great price."
Universal Lubricants also collects over 250,000 gallons of used oil annually at Brakes Plus. The used oil -- still good, but dirty -- is sent to Universal Lubricants' high-tech re-refinery in Wichita, Kansas where the old additives and impurities are removed to produce crystal clear, API compliant Group II EcoClear™ base oil. The base oil is then blended with high performance additives to produce the Eco Ultra high-quality line of lubricants. This process creates a fully sustainable domestic resource to be used over and over, while eliminating the need to import foreign crude oil to make finished lubricants. Eco Ultra is licensed by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and meets or exceeds all major SAE requirements and OEM specifications, while also being environmentally friendly.
By exclusively offering Eco Ultra, Brakes Plus is reducing the country's reliance on crude oil by approximately 540,000 barrels per year, or more than 22 million gallons annually. Eco Ultra's refining process also uses up to 89 percent less energy than the process used to refine foreign crude oil, while also emitting up to 65 percent less air pollution in the process.
"Eco Ultra is an ideal product for Brakes Plus to uphold their sustainability goals, while also providing trusted products to their customers at an affordable cost," said Cathy Smith, Universal Lubricants' director of national accounts. "It's an honor to be a nationwide service provider of choice and we support Brakes Plus in achieving their sustainability and profitability goals through the expertise and superior service of the Universal Lubricants team."
